A fantastic 1967 documentary by Albert Gendelshtein titled 'Dmitri Shostakovich - Sketches for a portrait of the composer'. There's a lot of rare footage in this. In addition to Dmitri, there's footage of his son Maxim Shostakovich, Leonid Kogan, Sviatoslav Richter, Galina Vishnevskaya, Mstislav Rostropovich, Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, Evgeny Mravinsky, and a re-creation of the legendary concert in which Karl Eliasberg conducted the seventh symphony. R.E.M. was an American rock band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1980 by drummer Bill Berry, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and lead vocalist Michael Stipe, who were students at the University of Georgia.
