WILD DOGS EAT YOU ALIVE the original version w John Tejeda 1984

when Man's best friend failed to be picked up by a major label and the finger of blame pointed to the singer( McCourt) a replacement was sought, the other 3 wan thought a singer who had the usual "look" and a higher range vocal style would surely do the trick John Tejeda was from Eugene oregon and fairly new to the rocknroll game ... Mccourt who had built the band's reputation with his PR skill and experience proved a tough act to follow live where fans who were angered by the personnel change when they arrived at the shows gave john a hard time onstage after 4 months an early morning call from guitar man jeff mark asked mccourt if he would rejoin the group and do the third record but meanwhile there was a gig 500 miles away in coastal california in Humboldt county .,, which matt happily accepted and did a string of shows with talas and rising force, culprit from seatle to the bay area. the dogs added a few new tunes that would appear on the dr mastermind lp in a year or so... to the setlist john tejeda later joined a well known group called zoo gang with tim donahue future drummer for cherry poppin daddies and yngwie... EAT YOU ALIVE has at least 3 different versions tis is the FIRST michael furlong the voice of reign of terror did this one as well and mccourt re wrote the song( having been told it had never had vocals.... and his version is known as THE VULTURE about f-15 fighter jets.. Tejeda has some pipes man says mccourt- the song screams for a scream at the intro( pun yes) but mine doesnt come close othe other 2 guys but then again that 'bobcat caught in a barbwire fence" vocal style was never something i mastered im more "barry white".... meets lemmy... these rare and obscure demos with john singing are on the cd called EVOLUTION featuring every known lineup of the group form 1981 thru 2014 do for those of yuo who like it.. hot fast and Hard... this one's for you.. you can buy all the wild dogs dr mastermind mayhem cds on usmetal records cds at http://usmetal.com
