EP 64 Kick Axe - Hunger - Bass Cover (includes onscreen and downloadable tab files)

Episode 64 Kick Axe - Hunger "Hungry" is a song written by Kick Axe and featured on the soundtrack to the 1986 Transformers animated film. The bass player in Kick Axe is Victor Langen. They were listed as "Spectre General" on the soundtrack and also performed a cover of the song "Nothing's Gonna Stand In Our Way". The song was also recorded by King Kobra (featuring Carmine Appice on drums) for their 1985 album "Ready To Strike". Both versions of the song were produced by Spencer Proffer who also co-wrote the song with Kick Axe. I then recorded my bass part into Reason using my Ibanez SR500 bass, into an ART Xdirect DI box and then my Steinberg UR44C interface. The bass was processed using some very light compression and a little chorus to thicken it up, as well as providing a bit of 80s flavour. The video was filmed using my Samsung A52 smartphone. The tab was created by feeding the track and the tablature into Go PlayAlong 4 and then recording the results using the NCH Debut screen capture software. I created the title graphics using the postermywall web site. I also "borrowed" the "Hunger" text for the title page from the King Kobra single. The video was then put together using DaVinci Resolve 17.
