TV footage from LOU REED's set at the first FARM AID concert in Champaign, Illinois 1985 Lou Reed - vocals, guitar Chieli MInucci - guitar, bkgd vocals Fernando Saunders - bass, bkgd vocals JT Lewis - drums September 22, 1985, before a crowd of over 80,000 people in Champaign, Ill., the first Farm Aid concert happened. Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and their friend, Neil Young, had recruited a veritable whos who of musicians. Over 60 acts performed, raising over $7 million for Americas family farmers.

Neil Percival Young (born November 12, 1945) is a Canadian and American singer-songwriter.
