🎵 Artist: Dave Pell's Big Band 🎶 Release: Plays Big Band Sounds (Side B Medley) 💿 Label: P.R.I. Records (Precision Radiation Instruments - Catalog No. SPL-1) 📅 Release Date: c. 1960 💿 Format: Rare 7-inch 33 1/3 RPM Jukebox Stereo Compact Sampler Welcome back to the channel! To follow up our Side A upload, we are flipping the vintage wax over to spin Side B of this elusive 1960 P.R.I. Records big band sampler (SPL-1). This remarkable piece of music history was rescued entirely sleeve-less from a dusty thrift store crate dig, brought back to life using multi-stage digital audio cleanup. ⏱️ Track Chapters & Timestamps: 0:00 - Cherry Pink And Apple Blossom White (Tribute to Perez Prado) 2:16 - I Let A Song Go Out Of My Heart (Tribute to Duke Ellington) 4:20 - Molly Malone (Tribute to Lawrence Welk) 5:50 - Little Brown Jug (Tribute to Glenn Miller) 🎰 The Jukebox "Little LP" Era: In 1960, P.R.I. Records released this specialized "SPL-1" 7-inch disc as a showcase sampler. Because jukebox operators wanted to charge a premium quarter for full big band medleys rather than a dime for a single song, small-hole 7-inch records spinning at 33 1/3 RPM allowed listeners to enjoy an entire album side's worth of music in one sitting. The audio has been captured directly from the vintage vinyl, preserving the high-separation early stereo mixing and driving analog energy of this mid-century document. If you love rare jukebox records, 60s swing tributes, and vinyl archaeology, please like, comment, and subscribe to help support the archive! #VinylRescue #DavePell #PRIRecords #JukeboxCompact #LittleLP #33RPM #BigBand #GlennMiller #DukeEllington #ThriftStoreFinds #VinylCommunity #ArchivalAudio #SwingEra #45RPMConversations
