Before we get into Lil Rob’s story, this episode starts by exploring the history of Chicano rap beef itself, including early moments like Brownside’s Toker calling out Kid Frost during the era when both artists were connected to Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records, with debates about authenticity, loyalty, and being “down” becoming part of the culture’s history. We also look at how rap beef continues in today’s era with artists like Swifty Blue and Tommy Gunz, showing how rivalries, disagreements, and street politics continue to influence West Coast rap.
