Uploaded By ► Red Grey Matter ''Enjoy Your Day'' Buy Album: https://t.ly/xqkeb My Blue Soul, About, Terrie Odabi: Powerful Vocal Stylist Few vocalists own the stage like Terrie Odabi. When the statuesque Oakland native begins to sing, a hush falls over the audience. They’re about to take a ride through the highs and lows of soul music, led by a beautiful singer who packs her shows with heart-pumping energy and poignant memories. Whether it’s opening for Average White Band or Lenny Williams, or performing at the Concord Pavilion or the Fillmore Jazz Festival, Terrie’s finely honed instrument is matched by her generous spirit and wit. “Has anyone here lost their mojo? Raise your hand if you’re suffering from a mojo deficiency,” she asks the crowd at the Monterey Blues Festival. From that point on, she has them in the palm of her hand as she proceeds to testify. “Terrie’s got soul and charm. Her voice soars and draws you in and makes you feel good. She is full of surprises!” enthuses trombonist Steve Turre, member of the Saturday Night Live Band and professor at the Julliard School of Music. Turre, who has performed with Terrie, dubs her “a jewel from the Bay Area.” Raised in Oakland, California, the most diverse city in America, by age 16 Terrie was sneaking in to perform in Bay Area clubs and theaters. Her classical and jazz studies included training under Gwen Brown, Bill Bell and the late, great tenor, John Patton. Terrie has traveled the country and the globe performing with the multicultural percussion groups D'CuCkoo and Rythmixx, whose far-flung gigs included Japan and Cuba. Her broad stylistic and linguistic range -- including Spanish and various African and Middle Eastern dialects -- have made her an in-demand vocalist not only for various bands but for recording projects. A case in point is a recent intensive studio date for Tonehammer, a film and television library owned by Academy Award-winning composer Troels Folmann and TEC Award-winning sound designer, Mike Peaslee. Her breathtaking work is featured on the Tonehammer series, “Forgotten Voices.” As much as she enjoys collaborating on new and varied projects, Terrie shines as a bandleader. Recently, she has returned to her roots and what she loves best: Jazz, Gospel, Blues and Soul. Her vocal range is out of this world, taking you from the delta depths with rich blue tones, then soaring on heaven-sent high notes. Often compared to Aretha Franklin, Etta James and Jill Scott, Terrie blends the old-school with a fresh sound. Audiences everywhere are thirsty for something new, and Terrie Odabi has the solution: an overflowing passion for the evolution of pure soul. Lyrics: Baby, i've done you wrong Well i can't hide it no more no, no This secret i have inside, oh it makes me feel i like i'm dying, oh please be clear, i don't wanna lose you no, no Will You Still Love Me When i tell you, When i tell you, Will You Still Love Me He didn't mean, He didn't mean nothing to me no, no no Will You Still Love Me You were giving me But i need it a the time, no oh no oh Will You Still Love Me I wasn't sure, I wasn't sure Where we stood, oh, oh oh Will You Still Love Me I know all about her, But i chose to hold my tongue I figured, i had a lot more to loose than i had to gain by telling you But baby baby i love this life We have together I remember, I remember The love we used to make can we, can we, call this thing even Stick it out for each other Will You Still Love Me If i forgive you, will you forgive me to Will You Still Love Me Please, there ain't nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing, I wouldn't do for you Will You Still Love Me Will You Still Love Me Will You Still Love Me When i tell you, When i tell you, Will You Still Love Me Welcome to Red Grey Matter Club!
