She's A-1 - That'll Get It - Knight Brothers - 1966

Washington, DC natives, Richard Dunbar and Jimmy Diggs, were signed to Chess Records' subsidiary label, Checker in 1963 and recorded several outstanding sides very much in the vein that Sam And Dave were operating in during the mid-1960's. Except for their huge hit single, Temptation 'Bout To Get Me, charting in 1965, none of their other singles managed to make much of a dent in the national charts, and that was a shame because the duo deserved more recognition than they received. This two sided classic, She's A-1, written by Diggs and the flip side, That'll Get It, are both fine examples of the Knight Brothers on top of their game.
