Recorded at Tom Artin’s boyhood home in Princeton Recording by Dewitt Kay Edmond Hall in Princeton to play with a band under the leadership of Tom Artin-trombone Ed Polcer-cornet John Harbison-piano Alan Bergman-drums Dewitt Kay-bass The voice heard on “Lonesome Road” is that of Alan Bergman, drummer and entertainment lawyer The voice heard on “Dawn on the Desert” is that of Tom’s 2-year old son Michael. He is speaking Swedish.
About Edmond Hall
Edmond Hall (May 15, 1901 – February 11, 1967) was an American jazz clarinetist and bandleader. Over his career, Hall worked extensively with many leading performers as both a sideman and bandleader and is possibly best known for the 1941 chamber jazz song "Profoundly Blue".
