#Evanescence #Missing #Bonus Track #AnywhereButHome Fallen Era 🌌🌌🌌 [Intro:] Please, please, please Can you stop the fire? Can you stand to fight her? You can't stop the fire. You won't say the words [Verse 1:] Please, please forgive me But I won't be home again Maybe someday you'll look up And, barely conscious, you'll say to no one: "Isn't something missing?" You won't cry for my absence, I know You forgot me long ago Am I that unimportant? Am I so insignificant? Isn't something missing? Isn't someone missing me? [Chorus:] Even though I'm the sacrifice You won't try for me, not now Though I'd die to know you love me I'm all alone Isn't someone missing me? [Verse 2:] Please, please forgive me But I won't be home again I know what you do to yourself I breathe deep and cry out "Isn't something missing? Isn't someone missing me?" [Chorus:] Even though I'm the sacrifice You won't try for me, not now Though I'd die to know you love me I'm all alone Isn't someone missing me? [Verse 3:] And if I bleed, I'll bleed Knowing you don't care And if I sleep just to dream of you I'll wake without you there Isn't something missing? Isn't something [Chorus:] Even though I'm the sacrifice You won't try for me, not now Though I'd die to know you love me I'm all alone Isn't something missing? Isn't someone missing me? “Missing” is a song recorded during the Fallen sessions, but it didn’t make the cut. The song was later released in 2003 as a B-side to the single “Bring Me to Life”, as well as a radio single/bonus track for the band’s first live DVD Anywhere But Home. The song is about running away from home, but Amy Lee asked fans to “take from it what you can”. What have the artists said about the song? Amy Lee revealed on VampireFreaks that the song is about running away, but told people to interpret it the way they want: When it comes to music and art, it’s always about how each individual interprets it. Some of our songs are self reflective but some of them are also story telling. For me that song was all about running away, but it’s poetry so please do take from it what you can.
