Metal Church Frontman Mike Howe Has Died, Age 55 - What is Known About The Causes Of Death

Vocalist of the American rock band Metal Church Mike Howe has died at the age of 55, according to the group's official Facebook account. Representatives of the team called the late musician a "true legend" of the direction of heavy metal. The reasons for the death of the artist have not yet been disclosed. Metal Church was formed in the early 1980s. It was founded by Kurt Vanderhoof. At first the group was called Shrapnel, but in 1983 the team was renamed. Howe became the lead vocalist of Metal Church in 1988, replacing singer David Wayne, and performed with the band until their first disbandment in 1996. The musicians later reunited, and Howe returned in 2015. There are 12 studio albums in Metal Church's discography. In 2020, the group released the compilation From the Vault, which included new compositions. The band revealed on Facebook earlier this month that their next album was planned for release in 2022.
