Kip Morris, Ricky Diaz, Jamaaladeen Amla rehearsal
Long lost rare footage (not best quality) but the essence of an historical rehearsal with Arranger, pianist Ricky Diaz, bass guitarist Jamaaladeen Tacuma, percussionists Daryl Kwasi Burgee and the late great Peachy. Also Stan Slotter on trumpet and my mentor and high school music teacher Kip Morris on tenor saxophone. Also with some of Philly's most talented Latin and Jazz Musicians. The rehearsal took place at the famous AMLA center for Latin culture and music headed by Jesse Bermudez. Latiin music is a part of my early roots as I played music with my Latin brothers in my high school band at Edison High at 8th & Lehigh in Philadelphia. I look forward to taking this newly found energy and producing a long awaited recording dedicating to my early Latin roots. Enjoy
