The Pinkpop music festival, also known as Pinkpop Festival, is an annual rock festival held in Landgraaf, Netherlands. Along with Ruisrock and Glastonbury, it is the oldest open-air festival in the world. This festival is celebrated on Pentecost (Pinksteren in Dutch, hence its name). In 1970, the first-ever Pinkpop Festival took place in Geleen and took place only on Monday of that week.
