Rum Jungle - "Gwendolyn" - Strand Cabaret, Marietta, Ga., 06/11/83
Previously named the Drastics, Rum Jungle was a talented, little-known band from Bogart, Ga. Here's another song https://youtu.be/da7-CDwOYvA. The band featured siblings John and Jane on guitar and keyboard. Jane was about sixteen at time of this taping and was in charge of keyboards and dancing. Rum Jungle were great fun in early '80's Athens, Ga. They kept to themselves, were sincere, and unpretentious. This was a good show at the Strand Cabaret Theatre in Marietta, Ga. (home of Guadalcanal Diary). It was located on the back side of the Marietta Strand Theatre and became host to a Chinese Restaurant. Early REM, Pylon, Jason and the Scorchers, Ru Paul and the U-Hauls, Guadalcanal Diary, and Helms Deep were among the notables who played this 40 Watt of Marietta, Ga. PA was basic, lights were barely, fun abundant.
