Boys of Summer, remake - (Drums)

This is a salute to the nearing of the end of the 'best season' - Summer! 'The Boys of Summer' was a mega-hit by Don Henley (solo), released October 26, 1984. This version is a remake of the song from Henley, by a band called the 'Ataris'. I'm not sure why they named themselves that (video game?) - I don't know? However; the Ataris did a great rendition of the song, which they released 19 years after Henley released 'Boys of Summer'. The Ataris released this version in 2003 (September 8, 2003). This version is an up-beat version with a few changes. 1. More upbeat/punky feel 2. They took the liberty of changing a few lines in the lyrics (e.g. - changed "Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac", to "Blackflag sticker...") 3. Their drummer; (I believe, Chris Knapp who toured and recorded with the band from 1998 - 2005), wrote a cool drum section/bridge... which I love in this tune. (Useless information: the Ataris have had eight (8) drummers (last reported); so, I may be slightly off by a drummer with this album - but, Chris does fall in the timeframe of this recording.
