Jo-EL Sonnier 60th Anniversary Celebration with Both Bands Gladewater, TX 8/10/19 -“Jambalaya”
Grammy award winning singer-songwriter Jo-EL Sonnier kicked off his celebration of 60 years in the music business. His “Tear Stained Letter” Band backed him up and his opening band, The Contractors came back up to join him for the closing number-“Jambalaya.” The Contractors includes Lynn Wilson, Steve Brantley, and Eugene Allen on vocals with Timothy Simpson on bass, Delene Allen on keyboards, and Woodie Thornton on drums. Special thanks to Larry Gamble for volunteering to help with sound even though he and his wife Debbie had purchased tickets to be in the audience for the celebration.

Jo-El Sonnier was an American singer-songwriter and accordionist who performed country music and Cajun music. Originally signed to Mercury Nashville Records, Sonnier charted several minor singles on the Billboard country charts in the late 1970s. By the late 1980s, he had signed to RCA Records, breaking through with the Top Ten hits "No More One More Time" and a cover of Richard Thompson's "Tear-Stained Letter".
