Joan Armatrading - All the Way From America (1980)
Joan Armatrading - All the Way From America (1980) UPDATE: RosaMannen's YouTube channel was restored. If you want to check out their channel, it will be linked in the description. This is a nice, twangy song. I really got into Joan's music from a mix of watching old MTV recordings and hearing "Drop the Pilot" occasionally play on SiriusXM's 1st Wave (new wave/classic alternative) channel. If you like lesser-known soft or folk rock, especially here in the States, this song is for you. I believe MTV had this music video in their archives during its first few years, along with "I Love It When You Call Me Names" and "The Weakness in Me" since the music video was one of the 3 listed in the "MTV Who's Who in Rock Video" book, alongside the previously mentioned music videos. However, I don't know if the music video itself aired on the channel. When I found some of the pages from the book online, I included this music video in my MTV2 A to Z Marathon Missing Videos playlist, but when I was updating the playlist today (December 10, 2025), I saw the YouTube upload of it got deleted recently due to the original uploader, RosaMannen, being one of the victims of YouTube's mass termination wave. Thankfully, not only did I download a copy of the music video in advance since I knew it was really obscure, but FakeShemp reuploaded it on the Internet Archive before RosaMannen's channel got terminated. I hope you guys enjoy the music video and I hope this doesn't get removed!
