After a short break, I'm back with a new drum cover from American alternative rock band R.E.M. and the song is called Bad Day. However, I hope you're having a good day ;) Played to a drumless track created with XTRAX STEMS 2. I recorded this after a 1.5 hour session of Taekwondo training so if I look a little tired, you know why! A bit about R.E.M.... R.E.M. was an American rock band from Athens, Georgia, formed in 1980 by drummer Bill Berry, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills, and lead vocalist Michael Stipe. One of the first alternative rock bands, R.E.M. was noted for Buck's ringing, arpeggiated guitar style, Stipe's distinctive vocals and obscure lyrics, Mills's melodic basslines and backing vocals, and Berry's tight, economical drumming. In the early 1990's, other alternative rock acts such as Nirvana and Pavement viewed R.E.M. as a pioneer of the genre. R.E.M.'s most commercially successful albums, Out of Time (1991) and Automatic for the People (1992), brought it to the vanguard of alternative rock just as it was becoming mainstream.
