Oswald's extreme command of the Trumpet, elevates both sides with his timely interventions of hard-blown expression of his favoured instrument. The classic a-side, a cheekily titled innuendo "One-Eyed Giant" may have Greek mythology intensions, but most-SKA-collectors have for many years thought more likely to be a proud reference to his manhood. Classic style SKA with all those "Buster" elements of vocal "skat" woven into a motivating horn laden landscape, sliced by a hard-rubbed Guiro. Chants abound throughout as this session becomes an excitable jam of Jamaican dance, showcasing outrageously skilled musicianship by everybody involved. The obscured flipside is every note as impressive, when rich group vocals are this time utilized to partition even more potent horn playing. Two great sides, archetypical example of the SKA/Rocksteady transformation.
