Boom Boom (Out Go The Lights) Cover by the Key Largo "Nasty Habits"

This song, credited to Stan Lewis, was recorded by Pat Travers in 1979, and probably others also. It is being performed here by a band called "Nasty Habits"* a well known club band in the Florida Keys during the early - mid 1980s and probably beyond. I played bass in the band from 1980 until 1984 and lost touch with the other members after that. The band appeared regularly at the Caribbean Club in Key Largo, where this song was recorded live around 1983. The band members at that time were: John Pollard, lead guitar and vocals; Richard Williams, drums and vocals; Richard also played guitar and preferred to play guitar when another drummer (like Alonzo Merit) was available, but I'm pretty sure Richard is playing the drums on this song; Gary Lloyd on Keyboard; Sandra Lloyd (who was not related to Gary Lloyd) on vocals and percussion; and Robin Sumner (me) on bass guitar. That was the basic configuration, however, on any given night it was possible that other local musicians might be sitting in. Dave Williams (Richard's brother) was sitting in on keyboard on the occasion of this recording, as was Jimmy Music on the guitar. The recordings from which this selection was gleaned were not made for commercial purposes and were never published or sold. They were basically just so we could hear how we sounded. I don't know how many other bands used it before or since, but this was in 1982. I have tried to distinguish us from other bands in these videos by associating our band with Key Largo.
