Satellite Media NZ - Vodafone NZ Music Awards 2009
The 44th annual RIANZ Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards took place on Thursday 8th October, 8:30pm. Once again Satellite broadcast the star-studded event on C4. The 90 minute live television special included the glamour from the Red Carpet, backstage access hosted by Dave Gibson (Elemeno P), Karl Steven (Supergroove) and Ruby Higgins (NZ Next Top Model), live performances from Ladi 6, Ladyhawke, Fat Freddys Drop, Smashproof with Gin, Midnight Youth, Sola Rosa and the Mint Chicks plus all the big awards in music.

Patsy was born 1945, in the South Waikato town of Arapuni. She is New Zealand's leading lady of Country Music. She entered talent Quests as a child and appeared on TV in The Entertainers in 1976, and Touch Of Country in 1978. She recorded her debut album in 1980. Many country albums have charted for Patsy over the years and her fame spread across the Tasman where in 1981, she won the New Talent Of The Year title at the Country Music Awards Of Australia.
