About RIANZ

Patsy was born 1945, in the South Waikato town of Arapuni. She is New Zealand's leading lady of Country Music. She entered talent Quests as a child and appeared on TV in The Entertainers in 1976, and Touch Of Country in 1978. She recorded her debut album in 1980. Many country albums have charted for Patsy over the years and her fame spread across the Tasman where in 1981, she won the New Talent Of The Year title at the Country Music Awards Of Australia. She also won a number of RIANZ New Zealand Music Awards, she has had a total of 19 nominations and 7 wins.
