Track 5 from Brats' album 1980. Music and lyrics by Yenz. LYRICS Don't! Don't destroy me No! No! Avoid me I don't want you But you need me it seems Don't add me to your list of wrecks I wanna live out my dreams Let me rest and rebuild Till I'm strong again Invade another head, oh I know she's gone But I am gonna rise I know it always ends up wrong But please don't touch my eyes So let me see the way, I used to Please don't touch my eyes You pestilential complex Please don't rape my mind Let me rest and rebuild Till I'm strong again Invade another head, another head Jens Arnsted - vocals, bass Hank Shermann - guitars Michael Denner - guitars Monroe - drums Brats were a danish group formed in 1977, originally playing punk rock. The original line-up featured guitarist Rene Krolmark (Hank De Wank, later Hank Shermann), drummer Eddie Haircut, vocalist Franz De Zaster and bassist Mickey Rat. They appeared on Pære Punk compilation LP with songs "Dreams", "I do what I wanna do" and "Magazine". Later, Hank recruited two new members - vocalist/bassist Jens Arnsted and drummer Lars Nybo (Monroe). Shortly after recording several songs (released in 2008 as The Lost Tapes: Copenhagen 1979) the trio was joined by another guitarist, Michael Denner and Brats were moving closer to heavy metal. The band signed with CBS and released their debut album 1980. Shortly after, Mike was replaced by Carsten Van der Volsing, while King Diamond joined the band as the new vocalist. Jens and Monroe left and three remaining members went on to form Mercyful Fate.
