Remastered picture and sound. An electrifying performance of Spellbound from 9 March 1981 at Warwick University. Filmed by the BBC for their 'Rock Goes To College' series, this has been remastered with a HD upscale and an upgraded stereo soundtrack. Originally released in May 1981, Spellbound was the first single to be released from the Juju album. It reached number 22 in the UK singles chart. It's stature has only grown over time and it was the song chosen to close the fourth season of Stranger Things. Speaking in 1982, Siouxsie said : 'The magic that we want is not textbook magic. We use words like voodoo and spellbound but they're not to be taken literally. The best magic is when something good happens and you don't plan it. It's not in your control. To be totally in control of everything would be boring." Crank it up and enjoy...

About Siouxsie and the Banshees

Siouxsie and the Banshees were a British rock band formed in London in 1976 by vocalist Siouxsie Sioux and bassist Steven Severin. They are considered one of the pioneering groups of post-punk. The Times called the group "one of the most audacious and uncompromising musical adventurers of the post-punk era".
