Debby Boone is an iconic pop star whose rise to fame became one of the most extraordinary moments in music history. Her breakout single, You Light Up My Life, didn’t just top the charts — it dominated them, holding the #1 spot on Billboard for an unprecedented 10 consecutive weeks and becoming one of the most successful multi‑platinum singles of all time. The song sold over 4 million albums and earned her the Grammy Award for Best New Artist. She went on to receive seven additional Grammy nominations, winning two more — in 1980 for Best Inspirational Performance, and in 1983 for Best Gospel Performance. Her award shelf doesn’t stop there. Debby has been honored with the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Female Vocalist, two Dove Awards, a Music City News Award, and seven Record World Awards. Over her career, she has recorded 13 albums, including You Light Up My Life, Love Has No Reason, With My Song, Savin’ It Up, Surrender, Friends for Life, Home for Christmas, the deeply personal Reflections of Rosemary — a tribute to her legendary mother‑in‑law Rosemary Clooney — and her most recent album, Swing This, which showcases her mastery of the Great American Songbook. On screen, Debby has appeared in dozens of television shows, starred in two of her own TV specials, and co‑starred in the hugely popular 1980s TV movie Sins of the Past alongside Kirstie Alley, Kim Cattrall, and Anthony Geary. Her stage career is equally impressive. She lit up Broadway as Rizzo in Grease, and in 1990 she starred in the acclaimed Lincoln Center revival of The Sound of Music, earning a Drama Desk Award nomination. She has headlined national tours of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and The Sound of Music — including a beloved run in Toronto in 1987 — and has starred in regional productions of Meet Me in St. Louis, South Pacific, The King and I, 42nd Street, Into the Woods, and many more. Aside from her musical and acting accomplishments, Debby is also the author of six bestselling children’s books, all illustrated by her husband, Gabriel Ferrer. http://debbyboone.com/ https://www.facebook.com/debbyboone/ https://x.com/debbyboonemedia https://www.instagram.com/debbyboonemedia/ ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ To get a personalized video message from me, go to cameo.com/denise ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Please subscribe to my channels: Youtube.com/rememberthiswithdeniseboland Rumble.com/denise Follow me on Social Media: Telegram: Bringing truth, hope and light. https://t.me/dboland Twitter: @dboland18 Chat with me: https://t.me/+IoXGQiYrSwE3YmFh ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ Intro Music by D-Larson "Walk in the Light" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyBlA...
