Andrew Fletcher - INTRADA IMPERIAL [Hauptwerk // Rotterdam]
Andrew Fletcher's "Intrada Imperial" is a fanfare and a grand opener. With majestic sounds this is a particular joyful organ prelude, which has a catchy melody. Andrew Fletcher has written a lot of organ music and this piece originates from his 100 Short & Playable Pieces (hopefully everyone of his other compositions are playable too :-D Andrew Fletcher was educated in Birmingham and at Keble College, Oxford, where he was Organ Scholar. He is an FRCO prize-winner and holds the College’s choir-training diploma. He is a regular recitalist here and in the USA, and is in frequent demand as a service accompanist. He has been involved in church music since the age of seven and has held posts in Warwick, Swindon, Birmingham, and Stourbridge.
