The Waterson Family Live at Hull Truck
This unique home coming celebration combines Mike Waterson, Martin Carthy, Norma Waterson, Eliza Carthy and extended family members live on stage performing "Bright Phoebus", "Fine Horseman", "Some Old Salty", "Shallow Brown", "The Good Old Way" and many more. The film also includes exclusive interviews with the family at their home; creating a career retrospective, looking back over 50 years as the first family of English folk music. The Waterson Family at Hull Truck Theatre, recorded in Auguest 2010, has already been acclaimed by BBC Radio 2's Mike Harding as the Folk Event of the Decade. Feature length DVD on general release through Amazon, HMV, play and all good independent retailers from June 2011.
About Eliza Carthy
Eliza Amy Forbes Carthy, MBE is an English folk musician known for both singing and playing the fiddle. She is the daughter of English folk musicians Martin Carthy and Norma Waterson. Carthy is recognized as a fiddle-singing pioneer.
