Arabian Knights – Siouxsie and The Banshees (Guitar Cover)
Happy birthday, Siouxsie! My cover of the classic Siouxsie and The Banshees song "Arabian Knights". Off of their 1981 album "Juju". The guitar work is of course brilliant – as it's done by the one and only John McGeoch. This song was the second single off of Juju. The song peaked at number 32 on the UK Singles Chart. This song has quite a legacy – with many music publications praising it. Singer/guitarist Billy Corgan of the alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins (one of my favorite musicians/biggest influences, actually) included it in a list of his "favorite music". About Siouxsie and the Banshees
Siouxsie and the Banshees were a British rock band formed in London in 1976 by vocalist Siouxsie Sioux and bassist Steven Severin. They are considered one of the pioneering groups of post-punk. The Times called the group "one of the most audacious and uncompromising musical adventurers of the post-punk era".
