#shorts #noisemusic #experimentalmusic #cinematic The goal of this piece of electronic noise music was to create the feeling of anger and chaos. I imagine it could also work as film music when someone is really going through some bad stuff. I'm doing a lot of experimenting here with polyrhythms from the Moog DFAM vs the Buchla 208c Easel Command, as well as cross modulation. The Grandmother is holding an arpeggio to tie things together. I also am making extensive use of the the ARP-2600's ring modulation channel. Towards the end, this devolves into total chaos with lots of looping into the Boss RC-5 pedal. Audio to Erbeverb, 4ms Tapographic Delay, X-Pan (controlled by Intellijel Quadrax), Boss RC-5 looper pedal, and Eventide H9. Sequential voltage to pitch of both oscillators. Envelope to both low pass gates. Random to timbre, modulation, sequencer steps, sustain, and inverted to waveshape. Cross modulation via audio from complex oscillator into FM of modulation oscillator. Moog DFAM: receiving a complex random pulse from Stillson Hammer sequencer. VCO1 to VCO2 CV. VCO2 to VCA decay. Moog Grandmother: bass arpeggio patch with both oscillators turned up all the way to distortion. ARP-2600: Pulse output of oscillator 3 to input of channel 2 of ring modulation circuit. output of ring modulation to preamp in x1000. Output of distorted preamp to ring modulation input of VCF. Noise circuit output to FM input of oscillator 1. Oscillator 2 in LFO mode and modulating oscillator 3 FM. Eurorack: Bass guitar to Befaco Instrument Input to Morphagene, to Monsoon (mutable instruments Clouds clone) to X-pan. Morphagene is controlled by 4 CV outputs of Intellijel Planar 2.
