Northern Soul has endured for forty years now, but the sound was in danger of becoming mired in pure nostalgia and becoming stale and repetitive So to recapture that freshness, Centre City Records was launched in 2007 (along with launching this Youtube channel which by now has achieved a stunning 2,500,000 views!). Last September, "Northern Soul 2007" was the first album to be released. The album opened ears, inspired jaded palettes and brought a whole new crowd to the sound, people that were not even born when the first and even second wave hit the shores. And now, nearly a year later, comes this sequel album, which amazingly has grown up and out from the first step, into a whole new level of excellence.
