The Only Time I'm Sober performed by Diamond Rio 1981
Heartsfield had strong Michigan roots. Artie, Heartsfield's drummer, came and saw my first band performing in 1972 at Paw Paw Middle School. I would see them performing at O Dee Acres for the festivals, practicing at Finnerman's in South Haven for their world tour, and at Wing's stadium. This was one of my favorite tunes from their first album. This was a favorite Diamond Rio cover tune, and this track was captured this in a studio live session in 1981.
