PAST-TELLS DO MOTOWN - Rare live recording 1989
No, this is not an illusion. These 5 musicians make it sound like a full orchestra in 1989. The Fabulous Past-Tells used two keyboard players who doubled on singing, creating the illusion of of many singers and horns - long before modern day midi computerized techniques. The PAST-TELLS were true visionaries - way ahead of their era! They gave up many recording contract offers in favor of family commitments. Voted #1 oldies band in New York! Every member of the band played at least two instruments and sang, often doing all three during any one performance.
