Track 1 from their third album "All Together Now" released in 1972 copyright Epic Records. It was recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London. The band was formed there by Rod Argent, who had been the keyboardist for the sixties psychedelic rock band the Zombies. His goal with a new band was to develop a progressive rock style and most of the songs were co-written by Argent and Chris White, who had been the Zombies' bassist. Lead vocalist and guitarist Russ Ballard contributed two songs. This was their most successful release and the single "Hold Your Head Up" reached No. 5 in the U.K., the U.S. and Canada. The album has received excellent retrospective reviews and reached No. 14 in Canada. Written by Rod Argent and Chris White and produced by Chris White & Rod Argent. RIP Jim Rodford. James Walter Rodford (7 July 1941 – 20 January 2018) was an English musician, who played bass for several British rock bands. He was a founding member of Argent, which was led by his cousin Rod Argent, and performed with them from their formation in 1969 until they disbanded in 1976. He was the bassist for the Kinks from 1978 until they disbanded in 1997. In 2004, he joined the reunited Zombies, whom he had been closely associated with since the early 1960s, and remained a member until his death...
