b : Mar 24, 1924 in Jackson (USA) d : Aug 22, 1990 in New Orleans (USA) One of the few rural bluesmen in New Orleans who recorded four titles for Imperial label. He was profoundly influenced by local bluesman Tommy Johnson, who taught him to play and introduced him to the New Orleans musical scene. Webb spent most of his life working in New Orleans as a docker, but regularly played in country blues when the opportunity arose.
