About Anson Funderburgh

Blues guitarist, producer and bandleader. He was born in Plano Texas and grew up in Dallas, Texas. Funderburgh became a professional musician at age 15, playing in local bands including Sound Cloud Reunion and the Bee’s Knees. In 1978, he joined harmonica player and vocalist Darrell Nulisch to form the initial incarnation of Anson Funderburgh & The Rockets. He has continued to play with various lineups of The Rockets as well as working with musicians such as Delbert McClinton, Andy T, Mark Hummel, Eric Lindell and others.
