Earlier this year, renowned music critic Peter Guralnick was joined by Jake Guralnick, who produced D**k Curless's final album "Traveling Through," to discuss Curless’s musical career and legacy. In this clip, Peter Guralnick, who guest-curated the exhibition “D**k Curless: Hard Traveling Man From Maine,” talks Curless’s impressive range of musical influences. "D**k grew up with so many traditions," he says. From early country music icons like Jimmie Rodgers and Hank Williams to lesser-known regional acts, a broad range of influences contributed to Curless's versatility as an artist. Also, Chuck Mead, co-founder of country band BR549 and longtime Americana solo artist, performs in tribute to Curless. This program was presented in support of the exhibition "D**k Curless: Hard Traveling Man From Maine."
