The Matadors "Come On Let Yourself Go" PARTS 1 & 2 (RARE instrumental) 1963 Leon Russell Jan Berry
Johnny Otis' Top Ten hit in 1958, "Willie And the Hand Jive," has been "stolen" many times over the years. From a November 14, 1963 session produced by Jan Berry. here is one of those "rip-offs." Credited to Artie Kornfeld and Berry, "Come On Let Yourself Go" was given to Berry's high school pals who went by the name The Matadors. Their vocal version went on the A-side of Colpix CP-741 with the instrumental tracks on the flipside. Berry also produced "Judy Loves Me" that session, which was given to Johnny Crawford to sing on. The players Berry led through his arrangements of those two songs were Hal Blaine, Tommy Tedesco, Bill Pitman, Jimmy Bond, Al De Lory and Leon Russell.
