http://DemoCastNews.com Motown record-makers re-unite with label-founder, Berry Gordy, to bowl in "Strike-Fest" which raises funds annually in the name of Berry's elder brother (and Motown executive) Fuller Gordy ("Friends of Fuller"). Motown artist, Thelma Houston performed to wide acclaim. Speaking on camera are choreographer Debbie Allen "Fame" and director of "Grey's Anatomy; civil-rights comedian /ventriloquist Willie Tyler and his pal, Lester, legendary studio guitarist- Wah Wah Watson ("Papa Was a Rolling Stone"), disco-queen Thelma Houston ("Don't Leave Me This Way") and Berry Gordy, the founder of Motown Records and impressario of the Broadway hit, "Motown: The Musical." This year's Strike-Fest bowling event benefited The Manformation Project - which mentors inner-city, at-risk boys, ages 8-17 years old. Also in attendance were Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr. ("The Fifth Dimension," hosts 1980's countdown TV show "Solid Gold," and hit singers with ""You Don't Have to Be a Star (To Be in My Show)."

About Thelma Houston

Thelma Houston is an American singer and actress. Beginning her recording career in the late 1960s, Houston scored a number-one hit in 1977 with her recording of "Don't Leave Me This Way", which won the Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance.
