I hope this is a good tribute to commemorate this absolute piping legend's legacy. Growing up, one of my biggest musical inspirations was Gordon Duncan. He still is to this day. I never had the privilege of meeting him however, I consider him a musical mentor of mine. 10 years ago, I graduated and was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to teach pipes which have led me to the Director position of the program some years later. You'll notice, I'm not alone in this video! Meet Angus Evans, one of my very talented piping students I have taught from Grade 4 who just graduated this past November. This video feels like a full circle, to play a tune by a musical inspiration of mine with a young piper I taught from the beginning, who is, graduating a decade apart from when I did.
