Background Info: Jimmy Edwards, singer/songwriter/musician, is one of Britain's unsung musical heroes. He has played in numerous bands since the 1960's, which include The Neat Change (the first mod/skinhead band on the London club scene whose sole recorded outing 'I Lied To Auntie May' - is now considered a psychedelic classic). English Rose (their brilliant track 'Yesterday's Hero' featured, along with Jimmy, in the cult film of the late '60's 'Groupie Girl'), Guest & Edwards, The Washington Flyers, Masterswitch, Time U.K. (formed by The Jam's Rick Buckler) and Sharp (alongside The Jam rhythm section of Rick Buckler and Bruce Foxton). Working for over 40 years on the British rock music scene, Jimmy has had numerous collaborations with bands such as Flintlock, Sham 69, The Pretenders and Godley & Creme (of 10CC) to name but a few. Jimmy is currently working on new material and also features on the new Sham 69 single 'Dare to Win' (Catalogue No: OFFTB 017) which hits the streets on the 10th October 2011. The rhythm section is often contrasted with the roles of other musicians in the band, such as the lead guitarist or lead vocals whose primary job is to carry the melody. The core elements of the rhythm section are usually the drum kit and bass. The drums and bass prov...
