The song received a Chain Award for 'Song of the Year' at the 18th Australian Blues Music Festival. At the 2013 Blues at Bridgetown, Nick Charles and Doc Span showcased their album All About Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, a unique tribute to the pre-eminent blues duo who recorded and toured together for nearly 40 years up to the mid-1970's. There are well known songs from Sonny and Brownie as well as some reverential Charles/Span co-written tunes! With their easy flowing vocals, these two proponents of acoustic roots and blues capture the essence of the Sonny and Brownie classics. Their original instrumentals exhibit Nick's assured fingerpicking on the guitar and Span's percussive reedwork on the harmonica. Their passion for the stories of Sonny and Brownie make Nick Charles and Doc Span an inspiring combination!
