Joe Butler was the original drummer and Steve Boone the original bass player. Each was a founding member of The Lovin' Spoonful. They recorded and performed all of the great hits starting with "Do You Believe In Magic?" Steve also co-wrote some of the group's biggest hits with John Sebastian.
