The second track from Side One of The Doors "Under Wraps - Volume 1" album - which was a hodgepodge of Doors rarities compiled into 4 records and released in the late 80s. This is one of a five-song demo that the band originally recorded in Los Angeles in 1966 shortly after forming. This session was likely the first time The Doors recorded together in the studio. Though a much different version of this song would later appear on their "Waiting For The Sun" album two years later, it is evident in this recording that they are yet to find that psychedelic sound that would define them as musical artists. The song, instead, has more of a mainstream "white boy blues" sound, made all the more obvious by Ray Manzarek's piano versus organ-playing. Sounds like Manzarek is singing lead vocals along with Morrison on this version. Not sure who's playing the harmonica. A really, really cool find for any Doors fan! Enjoy!
