The BoKeys include some of the finest names in Memphis Soul. Leading this song is Skip Pitts, whose distinctive wahkawack guitar was made famous on the Isaac Hayes Stax hit "Shaft". Also featured are Howard Grimes, the drummer for countless Hi Records by Al Green and others; and Ben Cauley on trumpet who is an original member of Stax' famed Bar Kays. Memphis' historic Overton Park Shell was fully renovated in 2008 to become the Levitt Shell with the help of the Levitt Foundation which is devoted to helping a growing number of amphitheaters nationwide.

Isaac Lee Hayes Jr. (August 20, 1942 – August 10, 2008) was an American singer, songwriter, composer, and actor. He was one of the creative forces behind the Southern soul music label Stax Records in the 1960s, serving as an in-house songwriter with his partner David Porter, as well as a session musician and record producer.
