Trevor Burton "The Heartache" Live 1990's
Trevor playing "The Heartache"...a song written by Warren Zevon. A track taken from the legendary "Barton Arms" live recording from the 1990's. The days when you could have a cigarette in a pub! Yeah, okay, so smoking is bad for you but so is shit loads of other stuff including jogging along roads with traffic going by with all the pollution breathed in from car fumes. Fact.... Still, I know one thing, there was far more atmosphere and fun in pubs when people were unhealthier and didn't bother going to the gym everyday! I went to the Robin Hood 2 venue in Bilston a couple of years ago to see the great Steve Gibbons and it was like being at a funeral service when you walked in. People sitting on chairs and many looking pissed off on the whole. Maybe they all wanted a fag! ..;) Thankfully, there's still recordings like this to prove what a great atmosphere there once was in local live music venues. I was there on the night this was recorded and it was like a family party with Trevor and his great band. That great upstairs room at The Bartons Arms was packed to the rafters that night....great memories. *Trevor's great studio version of this song was the final track on his band's 'Blue Moons' CD release from 1999.
