Gin Blossoms

The closing song for the nights concert, filmed at Stage AE, Pittsburgh PA, July 2018. AUDIO IS HEAVY ON BASS, I was mere inches from the subwoofer, I could've reached out and touched it I was that close. Hell of a good show!

About Gin Blossoms

Gin Blossoms are an American rock band formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona. They rose to prominence following the 1992 release of their first major label album, New Miserable Experience, and the first single released from that album, "Hey Jealousy". "Hey Jealousy" became a Top 25 hit and went gold, and New Miserable Experience eventually went quadruple platinum; four other charting singles were released from the album. About This Footage

This footage is a rare gem, capturing Gin Blossoms' live performance of "Wild Horses" in 2018 at Stage AE in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. What makes this clip significant is not just the band's enduring popularity but also the context of their career at the time it was filmed.

Gin Blossoms rose to fame with their debut album New Miserable Experience in 1992, which spawned a string of hit singles, including "Hey Jealousy" and "Follow You Down". The album itself went quadruple platinum, cementing their status as one of the most successful rock bands of the 90s. However, by the mid-2000s, the band had disbanded, with lead vocalist Robin Wilson pursuing a solo career. It wasn't until 2018 that Gin Blossoms reunited, and this footage captures them in full swing, performing to a packed crowd at Stage AE.

The audio quality is indeed heavy on bass, but it's not just the sound system that's impressive – it's the energy of the performance itself. The band members are clearly in their element, feeding off the audience's enthusiasm as they deliver a high-octane rendition of "Wild Horses". This song, while not one of their biggest hits, is a testament to the band's ability to craft catchy, guitar-driven melodies that stick with listeners.

What makes this clip even more remarkable is its rarity. With so much live footage available online, it's easy to get complacent and assume that every performance will be just as polished and professional. But "Gin Blossoms feat. Tonic & Punchline- 'Wild Horses' (Live)" stands out from the crowd – not because of any technical wizardry or production values but because of its raw, unbridled energy.

Watching this clip, a viewer is struck by the band's chemistry and camaraderie on stage. Robin Wilson's distinctive vocals soar above the rest, but it's clear that every member of the band is fully invested in the performance. The audience, too, is electric – singing along to every word, dancing in the aisles, and generally creating a raucous atmosphere that's infectious.

The clip also offers a glimpse into the band's reunion tour, which was likely a thrilling experience for fans who had been waiting years for new music from Gin Blossoms. The fact that they chose to close their show with "Wild Horses" is telling – it suggests that this song holds a special place in their hearts, and that they wanted to leave their audience with a lasting impression.

As the performance reaches its climax, the energy on stage is palpable. The band members are grinning from ear to ear, feeding off the crowd's enthusiasm as they deliver a final, frenetic blast of music. It's a truly exhilarating experience – one that leaves you breathless and eager for more.
