I do not own the copyright to this recording. This video is for historical and educational purposes There is no background information on Ray Logan. He recorded two sides in 1925 for Paramount Records making him a one record wonder. The song here is somewhat akin to the music of Tampa Red who made his debut recording in Chicago for Paramount three years later, even though there is no guitar on the recording. Hudson Whittaker, better known by his stage name Tampa Red, was an American Chicago blues musician. His distinctive single-string slide guitar style, songwriting and bottleneck technique influenced other Chicago blues guitarists such as Big Bill Broonzy, Robert Nighthawk, Muddy Waters, and Elmore James.
