Nigel Hall & George Porter, Jr.- A Song For You (Sullivan Hall 3rd Anniversary (Sat 1/1/11)
Billed as the 3rd Anniversary celebration for Sullivan Hall in the West Village, this two hour late show (they added an early show after this one sold out) was an interesting Jam band super group featuring Bill Kreutzman of the Grateful Dead on drums, George Porter, Jr. of The Meters on bass, Steve Kimock originally of Zero on guitar and Nigel Hall on keys. After a fun version of Lovelight, George told Nigel to pick a song to sing, Bill & Steve stepped away and the two "funk brothers" did a soulful Donny Hathaway style version of the Leon Russell classic *To see photos of this show and other live music, please check out my website: www.marcmillmanphotos.com/music
