Global music icon and American rapper Post Malone is set to perform live in Guwahati on December 8, 2025, marking a milestone moment for Assam’s music and entertainment landscape, and which is expected to give Assam’s concert economy a big boost. Announcing the development at a press conference in Dergaon on Wednesday, May 21, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, “In today’s cabinet, we have approved the Policy for Concert Tourism in Assam, which was previously discussed during the Budget session in the Legislative Assembly.” As part of the policy, Assam plans to develop Guwahati, Dibrugarh, and Jorhat as premier venues for large-scale, international-standard concerts.
