Mumford & Sons performed live on the main stage at the Pinkpop Festival at Megaland, Landgraaf, The Netherlands on monday, may 28, 2012. Both Seasick Steve and Bruce Springsteen were among the spectators of their performance.
Mumford & Sons are a British folk rock band. The band consists of Marcus Mumford (vocals, guitar, drums, mandolin), Ben Lovett (vocals, keyboards, accordion, drums), Country Winston Marshall (vocals, banjo, dobro, guitar), and Ted Dwane (vocals, string bass, drums, guitar). Mumford & Sons formed in December 2007, emerging out of what some in the media labeled the "West London folk scene".
The song is their debut single "Little lion man", and a hittrack of their debut album, "Sigh no more", released in 2009. The album wun Album of the Year at the 2011 BRIT Awards and reached nr. 1 in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. The single was ranked in first place in Triple J's Hottest 100 of 2009, an Australian music poll and the largest in the world with over 800,000 votes cast in total. It won by the largest ever margin in the history of the competition. The song was also nominated for Best Rock Song for the 53rd Grammy Awards.
